About Dr. D.J. Horton

Dr. D.J. Horton currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Church at The Mill, a thriving congregation in the Upstate of South Carolina, and as the founder of Living Worthy Ministries, a ministry geared towards equipping followers of Christ and coaching future leaders, pastors, and preachers. He thoroughly believes in the 4 ps: prayer, preaching, people, and purpose. His heart is that every man, woman, and child would allow the power of God’s Word to motivate them to live in such a way that it is worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He holds a Doctor of Ministry (DMin.) in expository preaching from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity (MDiv.) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University. He is happily married to the love of his life, Laurel, and is blessed to parent seven wonderful children: Ty, Micah, Lily, Grey, Rhett, Evy, and Harmony.
